Canadian ELD Mandate Has Been Delayed

Canadian ELD Mandate Has Been Delayed

On March 7th, 2022, Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators announced that an extension of the ELD enforcement transition period is required. CCMTA will “continue to support the mandate through a period of education and awareness through to January 1, 2023”.

This change gives enough time for more ELD providers to get certified on time and CMV operators and business owners to shift from paperlogs/non-certified logging devices to Transport Canada certified Electronic Logging Devices.
